Built by a dog person, for dog people.

The K9 School Bus didn't start with a business plan.

It started when I was stuck in traffic one morning during my 40-minute drive to the Wolfhouse that made me think - there has to be a better way.

So who am I and why did I do this?

Hi! I'm Ali, these are my boys Kai, Obyn and Mochi, and I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. Not as pets in the background - as proper family members who shaped routines, weekends, and honestly, pretty much every major life decision. When we considered moving to Brisbane from the UK back in 2011, it was on condition our two boys at the time, Kobe and Tuskyn, could come too. If we couldn't bring them? We were not going. Safe to say, they came with us.

For the past twenty plus years I've been working in corporate roles, building a career I am proud of. But dogs have always been the constant. Every walk, every weekend plan, every conversation with a colleague in the office kitchen inevitably ended up being about their pups or my boys, one way or other. I'm one of those people - I have over 14,000 photos of dogs on my phone. And they aren't all my kiddos!

It got me thinking about it the way any problem-solver would - if I'm doing this drive every day surely other people are in the same boat. Wolfhouse has families coming from all over Brisbane.

So whilst sitting in traffic on the way to the Wolfhouse I wondered how many other pawrents were there in the traffic alongside me. Turns out, quite a lot of you!

I approached Riss at Wolfhouse and floated the idea - what about a dedicated school bus, running fixed routes, getting kiddos to campus without their pawrents having to make the trip themselves.

She was all for it. Loved the idea. And said that the Wolfhouse would support it. That conversation was the green light.

Fast forward a few months and The K9 School Bus is an approved Wolfhouse transport partner. But more than that - it's a service built by someone who's been part of the Wolfhouse community for over 7 years. I know the staff, the staff know our boys, and I know how much this community loves their doggos. And this bus has been built exactly for those people.

So if you're a Wolfhouse family who's been quietly doing that same drive, wishing there was another way. Or if you wish your pups could go to Wolfhouse, but you just can't get them there and back, this service has been created for you.

The K9 School Bus exists because I lived your morning and evening commute and decided to do something about it. Your kiddo deserves their days at Wolfhouse. And you deserve your time back.
